Data Mining for Dollars

The more you know, the more you're aware you could be saving. And the deeper you dig, the richer the reward.

That's today's data mining capsulation of your realization: awareness of cost-saving options amid logistical obligations.

According to global trade group Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM), fewer than 25% of organizations in North America and Europe are currently utilizing captured data as part of their business process. With high ease and low cost associated with utilization of their information, this unawareness is shocking. And costly.

Shippers - you're in prime position to benefit the most by data mining and assessing your electronically-captured billing records, by utilizing a freight bill processing provider, to realize and receive significant savings.

Whatever your volume, the more you know about your transportation options, throughout all modes, the easier it is to ship smarter and save. A freight bill processor is able to offer insight capable of saving you 5% - 15% annually on your transportation expenditures. See article here...

The result streamlines a potentially time-intensive portion of Data2Logistics’ audit services. See article here...

The Business Value of Your Transportation Operation’s Worth

Classical assessment of an organization's business valuation doesn't often address fully the merits of efficient shipping functionality. It's often regulated to a profit/loss sheet line item. No slight intended; it's just that primary focus is elsewhere within a company's value evaluation. The transportation department's operational flow isn't highlighted in most company's summary.

From your experience, and our vantage of a freight bill processor, auditor and advisor provider service, we know the assets are real. Your department's a to-market lifeline. That functionality fuels our industry - we fully realize your business value (helping you to realize it fiscally), and are capable of relaying it in quantitative measures. It may not make the company's valuation highlights, but the positive impact is felt and appreciated throughout the organization daily. See article here...

Data2Logistics Completes Data Center Industry's Top Global Examination

Global freight bill processor, auditor and advisor Data2Logistics announces the successful completion of the International Standards on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) No. 3402 examination. Conducted by BrightLine CPAs & Associates, the examination was established by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), a standard-setting entity within the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). ISAE 3402 has become the globally recognized standard for assurance reporting on service organizations. As a result of the issuance of this designation, entities have the ability to use a globally accepted framework. Previously, the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) was the de facto standard. ISAE 3402, much like that of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' version, SSAE No.16, requires the examined company's management to provide a description of its system, along with a written statement of assertion. Where Have All The Drivers Gone?

The driver turnover rate is reaching epidemic proportions. The ATA has reported
that the driver turnover rate at large truckload carriers rose to 89 percent in the
third quarter. This shows a worsening of the situations since the second quarter
when the driver turnover rate was 79 percent. The turnover numbers are the
worst that carriers have seen since early 2008. Small truckload carriers are not
fairing much better. In the third quarter their turnover rate jumped 10 points to
57 percent, to the highest level for those companies since the third quarter of
2008, according to the ATA. Higher turnover rates are much more pronounced in
the TL marketplace than in the LTL market. The LTL turnover rate is running at
approximately 10%. See article here...

Data2Logistics Completes Data Center Industry’s Top Examination

Global freight bill advisor and processor Data2Logistics announces the successful completion of the American Institute of certified Public Accountants’ Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements Number 16 (SOC 1 - SSAE No. 16) Type 2 examination. The examination scope was for Data2Logistics freight bill audit and payment services, conducted by BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc. Superseding the SAS 70 audit standard in mid-2011, SSAE 16 is an attestation standard that establishes the requirements and guidance for reporting on controls at a service organization relevant to user entities’ internal control over financial reporting. The controls addressed in SSAE 16 are those that a service organization implements to prevent, or detect and correct, errors or omissions in the information it provides to user entities. By engaging an independent CPA to examine and report on a service organization’s controls, service organizations can respond to meet the needs of their user entities and obtain an objective evaluation of the effectiveness of controls that address operations and compliance, as well as financial reporting at those user entities.
